STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – July 28, 2008 – PPG Automotive Refinish has introduced D8152 Performance + Glamour Clearcoat, the latest addition to its Global Refinish System® product line. This premium performance clearcoat is easy to apply and offers exceptional gloss and appearance.

D8152 is designed for use over Global BC and Envirobase® High Performance basecoats and is the perfect complement to D8150, Global Performance Clearcoat.

“D8152 is the ideal choice for luxury cars and other high-end vehicles – any project that demands the ultimate high-gloss finish,” says Jeff Griffin , product manager, collision segments, North America for PPG Automotive Refinish.  

As part of the Global Refinish System, D8152 has been specially formulated to meet the demands of today’s high production collision centers while providing premium quality, maximum throughput and excellent performance. This new clearcoat features exceptional application properties and delivers best-in-class appearance making it ideal for larger repair areas. In addition, D8152 is easy to buff, if needed, and is suitable for hot or humid conditions. A new consolidated hardener package, D8370/D8373, is now available for customers using both D8152 and D8150.
